The schools in this area are not equipped to give quality education and children struggle to cope with academic pressures. Many children drop out of school due to these challenges.

Our Solution

While mothers are attending training at the Saksham Center, children can attend Smart Classes that provide quality educational support and academic coaching.

Education Programs

A. Academic Coaching through Smart Classes

The schools in this area are not equipped to give quality education and children struggle to cope with academic pressures, leading many to drop out. While mothers attend training, children can participate in Smart Classes.

In addition, an integrated Social and Emotional Learning program will be implemented enabling children to learn competencies such as:

Self-awareness
Self-management
Responsible decision making

Relationship skills
Social awareness

This holistic approach of combining academic coaching with Social and Emotional Learning is recommended by the National Education Policy 2020.

B. Guidance & Training for Entry into Sainik Schools & Armed Forces

Indian Army in collaboration with Saksham is developing a one-year program for this initiative.

C. Computer Lab

There is a computer lab with 20 desk top computer and 4 laptops where free computer classes are run for any one who is interested. Presently there are 62 children attending the classes. The course is conducted by a Delhi based NGO called “Computer Shiksha”. It’s a certificate course on 6 softwares- WORD, PAINT, EXCEL, POWER POINT & INTERNET.

Social and Emotional Learning Program

An integrated Social and Emotional Learning program will be implemented to enable children to develop essential life competencies.
