Vice Admiral Bimal Verma AVSM

Vice Admiral Bimal Verma is a senior retired Naval Officer. He is an alumnus of the prestigious Rashtriya Indian Military College (RIMC) and National Defence Academy, where he was adjudged Best Naval Cadet. He was commissioned in the Indian Navy in January 1, 1980.

During his 40 yrs naval career, he commanded various frontline ships and in his senior ranks, he held the office of Flag Officer Doctrine and Concepts, Flag Officer Maharashtra and Gujarat and eventually retired in 2019 as the Commander-in-Chief of the Tri Services Andaman and Nicobar Command. After retirement in 2019 he returned to Bhopal as he belongs to this city. He is now involved in a few social causes and assists Mrs Verma in running her NGO Saksham
